reptilian presidents, chinese boys, and new goals in life

yes, that is Obama's face on a reptile shop
upon closer inspection, we realized that Obama was telling us to support small businesses

In the words of the Reverend Joseph Lowery at Obama's inauguration..."In a joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us to work for that day when blacks will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right."

Now newly inspired to support local businesses, we forked up for money for over-priced Thai food
and ate mostly "poor man's dishes."
Ted and Cheah hung out at the Den this month, sleeping whereever there happened to be space at night.
The night after DIY Grad School Commencement, there were so many people crashed out on the floor,
that I was shocked that we had that many blankets to accomodate people.
my mind has been other places lately. i've been recently reading Amy Tan's The Opposite of Fate.
It is her personal collection of life musings and metaphors

my new goals in life are:
get blogging job at Mochi Mag, any start up online company
write a book, based upon this blog
community center in multi-use warehouse

i leave you, dear reader, with a new drawing that i made, with my new fabulous brush pen (thank ys!)
"inspired by traci kato-kiriyama"
ink on paper

i find myself at starbucks, because it was this, or driving and using gas.
today i choose corporate american over burning our ever-so-decreasing fossil fuels
(but they have free wi-fi and big tables, drool like a school girl)

ever yours through the years and years--a'misa
